Slate-Crete is a slate looking concrete finish that comes in a range of patterns. After the concrete is screeded and trowelled, the base colour is applied. It is not unusual to apply more than one colour.

When the surface is ready, a release agent is thrown gently over the trowelled concrete and is ready for stamping.
The release agents come in four colours and can alter the look of the colour topping depending on the release used. For example, a yellow base colour with;
- Grey release - will tone down yellow
- Light brown release - will lift that particular colour
- Marigold release - will give even greater contrast making yellow look brighter.
After curing, the concrete is pressure blasted with water to remove any excess release agent. Two coats of an acrylic clear sealer are applied. Sealer is to protect the surface from staining and to enhance the colour.
Advantages:
- Exceptionally hard wearing surface
- No more weeds
- Cost effective
- Exciting colours to beautify your project
- A finish that is stronger then concrete itself
- Slip resistant
- Non fading colours

A specially treated paper stencil is layed onto the wet concrete surface and floated into the required depth.
Two coats of colour hardener are then applied to the surface and floated between coats. The concrete is then left to cure. At the correct stage of curing, the paper stencil is removed revealing the chosen pattern. Residual chips are then removed with a mechanical blower. A concrete sealer is then applied to the new surface to protect from staining and enhance colour.
The colour hardeners (topping) come in an exiting range of colours and are streaks ahead of rivals for strength, durability and lasting effects. Click Here for more information about colour hardeners.
The finished result is harder and longer lasting than most other commonly used flooring surface, including plain concrete, tile and real brick itself.
Advantages:
- Exceptionally hard wearing surface
- No more weeds
- Cost effective
- Exciting colours to beautify your project
- A finish that is stronger than concrete itself
- Slip resistant
